We do not offer a sixth form. However for elite players who are travelling on the ITF circuit, we craft bespoke programmes of training, travel and A Level study.
Being Principal of Tennis Avenue School is not just a job, but a joy and privilege for me. It is also an immense responsibility because I know that every child entrusted into our care is not just a student but the embodied hopes and dreams of an entire family.
My duty is to ensure that students leave TAS as a champion of their own destiny, equipped with the valuable skills and tools necessary to be a winner, if not on a tennis court then in life. This motive underpins every aspect of school culture.
Although the school is relatively new, it is the natural evolution of our wildly successful Tennis & Education programme which operated for 10+ years. In that time our students won 16 Tennis Europe titles, 34 LTA G1/G2 national titles and 3 Team Tennis national titles. Six players were ranked No.1 in Great Britain and many others achieved top 10 rankings. On the academic front, two students from our very first intake (of three) gained acceptance into Cambridge and Oxford Universities respectively.
Some of you will certainly recognise us as the school you have been searching for - and if so, you are very likely to be who we are searching for too - and I would be delighted to hear from you!
In 2021/22 (our first full academic year as a registered school) we continue to accept new students in April and June. There are a maximum of 40 spaces available, after which there will be a waiting list. Minimum national level potential at tennis.
My son has been educated at TA since the age of 8. He was ranked No.1 in Britain and won numerous Tennis Europe titles at 12&U as well as the LTA Youth National Series title at 14&U. Alongside his tennis achievements he completed all his GCSE exams 1-3 years early with a Grade 8 or 9 in each subject. His next target is to compete in the junior Grand Slams while taking his A Levels. As a parent, I couldn't ask for anything more from a school.

I trained and studied at TA from the age of 9, and by age 12 I had won a Tennis Europe title. Unfortunately I was hampered by ongoing injuries, but TA enabled me to excel academically and ensure that I had the best possible alternative plan. I completed all my GCSE's by age 14 with straight A* grades, and my A Levels by age 16, again with straight A* grades. I am now a Biochemistry undergraduate at the University of Oxford.
